Marianne Antiporta
2021 Executive Directors
Marianne Antiporta is a junior at Milpitas High School. Since she was young, Marianne naturally gravitated toward any activities where she could practice public speaking, teach her peers, and assist her community. This drive inspired her to take on leadership positions in school clubs and teach young singers in local children’s church choirs, which motivated her to develop her tutoring skills at Growth Mindset. Marianne’s year-long experience in this program has catalyzed her passion for tutoring and fostered her determination to help students build academic skills and habits that will be the cornerstone for their future educational endeavors!
Derek Phan
2021 Executive Directors
Derek is a junior at Milpitas High School. Ever since he was in middle school, he loved helping his peers and enjoyed working with others, whether it was in school projects or helping others with their homework. Having found this opportunity to teach kids and take a leadership position was a real blessing for him. As his second year in this program, his motivation to help students has fired up and is ready to take on the new year helping others out!
