It all began in the summer of 2020 when our founder, Katherine Dasalla, was tutoring two hard-working students. The program Katherine was tutoring in only operated in the summer, yet the students wanted her to continue tutoring them. Katherine happily agreed to continue tutoring both students.

One day, while Katherine was speaking with one of the parents, she learned that numerous other students needed help with their educational assignments. Although Katherine would love to tutor all students, she understood that it is not feasible for her to do on her own.

With the help of Our Team, parents of tutees, and Milpitas High School staff, the Growth Mindset Tutoring Program was established for the sole purpose of helping students grow into their greatest academic potential.
